Let's Start the Game!
Hello Veritati! Ghost here, your resident shitpost Akira player.
I've been granted permission by our lovely mod to host an event for the middle of August! My current plan, since I have pretty stringent work hours that don't give me a whole lot of time to RP, is to have the bulk of the event happen August 16th-18th. That is a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, since Tuesday/Wednesday are my days off. This event is based around the general lore/concept of Persona5 and its dungeons, so if you don't want possible spoilers for the game feel free to opt out/not participate!
The event will consist of characters' cognition becoming distorted and generating what is known in-game as a Palace! Obviously, as palaces in P5 are usually month-long affairs, these will be much less involved and run more similar to the requests in Mementos, but still with the vibe of a Palace. I will need at least two, but no more than five volunteers for this, just since we're a small game and also so I don't have to piece together palaces for a million characters. If you'd like to volunteer, please fill out the form below!! Also, don't worry if you don't want a palace or don't get a spot for one! Other than Palaces and their Rulers, I'll need other characters to help fight the shadows and eventually, the rulers of the palaces to steal their treasures, so this can be an event for all players to be involved in in some way!
And just for funsies, here's an example form if Akira were to have a palace!
Character's Name: Akira Kurusu
Distortion: Aimlessness! This stems from his obsessive need to be helpful and useful to the people around him, to the degree of molding himself to fit a situation regardless of his own interests.
Theme: Funhouse mirrors. Like, picture that room in a funhouse that's just all whacky mirrors. This references the way he tends to reflect to everyone around him whatever they need.
Treasure: [P5Strikers Spoilers!] A very silly photograph.
The other aspect of this event will be anyone who doesn't have a palace and still wants to participate helping Akira to run the palaces and steal the treasures! For funsies, you're welcome to create a code name and Phantom Thief costume for your character if they do this. It just involves any sort of mask, any sort of costume that visually represents your characters' spirit of rebellion, and whatever code name they'd like to use (they're usually in English, but that's not a hard rule)! This isn't expressly necessary since the specifications of the Metaverse present in canon and the double lives thing isn't present in Veritati, but it can be a fun thing for folks if they wanna!

If you have any suggestions or concerns, feel free to come to me on discord or leave them in the questions slot, it's been a long time since I've been involved in any kind of game event handling so I'm wicked rusty. DX I wanna make sure this is as fun for anyone who wants to participate as it can be! :)

Distortion: I'm going to pick selflessness as the main point of distortion here. Tenn is selfless to a fault; he'll bear the burdens of the people he cares about and put himself in harm's way to protect them.
Theme: I'm thinking of either some kind of candyland since he loves sweets, or a concert venue!
Treasure: If it's a candyland. His treasure is a goddamn donut. If it's a concert venue, a microphone would work!

Tenn is like one of the only characters in-game I'm canon familiar with so I'm very glad for your involvement in my event either way ♥ Honestly let's go with Candyland for his theme because the idea of a donut treasure is cracking me right the hell up.

Distortion: There's... So many options, but I think the biggest one would be worthlessness. Heathcliff... Feels like he's unworthy of the love and kindness shown to him, to the point he prioritizes everyone else to "make up" for what he sees as his shortcomings.
Theme: Probably something like a factory, but more on the clock/steampunk side of things considering the tech level Heath is familiar with.
Treasure: A music box.

Distortion: Guilt! Look William just threw himself off a bridge to try and atone for murdering the literal Worst Of Society to try and bring about change and social equality so his mind is not in the greatest of headspaces,
Theme: An old university building, ideally one that's crumbling to pieces and burning down along with it
